Hi I am new to the site and I am in a biggest pumpkin contest with my coworkers. The funny thing is that none of us have ever grown a pumpkin before...So to my question, We all bought seeds from a grower with a orange round 944lb. parent. I planted 3 and all came up but a storm broke one over like a shotgun. I have started 2 NC Giants as back ups but thought it might be fun to pollinate the NC' with the 944 and grow them next year. Has anybody grown or crossed using the NC Giants? Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area.
Thanks Shannon

Yeah they are cool...I have done a search on this site for anything NC Giant related but there is very little. Thanks for the luck!

Weeks NC Giant is cucurbita maxima so it will cross just fine.
