My patch this year is 240' x 40' by far the biggest I've ever had to water. I think im getting over my head on a pach this size but im going to give it a go. I'm growing on rented land and most likely can't set up anything to crazy. I have one water source about 100' from the patch. The water comes out of the ground very cold and the water pressure is not that great. I want to get consistant (somewhat) warm water to the whole length of the patch. My only two ideas are... drip hoses ,or a 50 black drum per plant. I have a feeling the drip hoses will not consistently water the length of the patch. It seems like they will have pressure to trickle for some distance but will slow toward the end of the patch. Hmmmm. I like the 50 gal drum idea, but I wonder how to distribute the water from the drums evenly as the plants grow. I was so far thinking of using aquarium tubing out of the bottom of my drums, the splitters and control valves are cheap. But to get the water to distribute evenly as the plant gets bigger, another, hmmmm. I just don't want to hand spray water with the hose.the water is cold cold,it slowed the growth of my fruit every time I watered last year. And Im iffy about linking together overhead sprinklers unless there's some that work OK on low pressure. Any ideas tips or comments??? Thank you. And I hope all of you are off to a great start!

I'm checking on that now if I can get power to the patch. You mean a pump to run over head sprinklers from a water tank? How much dose a powerful pump cost,?

80.00 and 150.00 depending on what you get.

You can spend 400.00 but not really necessary for what your doing.

yes you would hook it up to run overhead sprinklers, that in my opinion is one of the best ways to get the coverage you need
