I found out today from local postmaster nobody looks at warnings on bubbles. Machines aren't set up to scan these warnings, just the address. Mail handlers don't look at the warnings, either. Everything gets thrown around in an equal fashion.
I now tape seeds between 2 addressed index cards, then wrap the seeds in bubble wrap, tape that shut, then seal seeds in a bubble envelope.
When you care to send the best...

I dont think thats true Steve somebody is pulling your leg.The ones marked fragile & that pay the first class parcel.Dont go on the rollers that crush the seeds. You need to pay the 2.32 cents.I have done it both ways & my seeds were damaged.Dont ever ask for the cheapest way to send them they will get the rollers which can damage the seeds.Butt your idea off wrapping them is a good one.If your shipping Expensive seeds I would take no chance.Garrys idea is great to for seeds worth over say 35$ a seed & you send multiples.

I agree with Steve...they all go in the same bin if they fit through. I always pay the $2.32 and had several destroyed this year.

I work for the post office, behind the counter. VT and Linus are correct. Doesn't matter what you pay or what you write, once a mail piece is behind the counter, they are treated equally. A lot of "flats" are processed on automated equipment unless they are too thick.

Printing "Fragile" and "Handle With Care" is a waste of time. That was my point.
Either over wrap seeds, with addresses printed on the wrapping, use a box(which might get crushed by large heavy boxes tossed on top of it), or send it registered mail.
If a bubble is too thick, it won't get machined, which is good. Just make it as difficult as you can for the seeds to get lost by placing multiple addresses on multiple layers of wrapping.

I received two bubbles this year with clear footprints on them. I'm not kidding. So if your sending a 2009 Wallace or a 2327 meier -a little extra bomb proofing keeps the seed in one piece. Cut a 2 inch long piece of 1 inch pvc in half along the long axis. You get a half culvert to provide three sided protection. Helps to have a band saw.
