I extend my condolences for your loss. You went to an awful lot of effort to get your pumpkin to this day that would have seen success and joy at the weigh-off.
Every year this happens to some one if us and it is heart breaking to see. I have actually had a nightmare that involves going to pick up my pumpkin with a backhoe and accidentally smashing the pumpkin when I moved the lever to down rather than up.

I am so sorry my friend. I was told and heard rumors that you where coming down to Ridgefield, CT. I couldn't wait to see it. Lifting is always the most nerve wrecking thing ever. You never said it went into cavity though..... Maybe I'll still see yay and the beauty. Thoughts go out to you and that 2009 offspring..
