I think I found a thermostat that would be useful for cables and other heating sources in hoop houses,STC 1000 temp controller

I havent done a lot of price searching but here is one for $18 with free shipping

It has the function to set the temperature at a specific tenth of a degree with zero range and no delay, meaning that if the temperature deviates .1 degree (this model is in Celsius), one circuit (either cooling or heating) will kick in immediately.

The unit comes with a thermistor-based temperature probe (2 meter wire) that connects directly to the controller. The probe and wire are moisture proof so the can be immersed in liquid as you might for home brewing.
