Okay this is totally off topic, but I had my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday and I was wondering how many other growers on this site have had theirs removed as well?

I did 13 yrs ago, and didn't get put under either even after the doc insisted. After about 10 minutes into the procedure when he was twisting a device in 360's and I could hear all the nerve and gum fibers popping and being ripped from my mouth, I knew it was a bad idea. I was fine by the next day and out at a bar chasing women with a swollen face. Still have the teeth too.

All four pulled, many many years ago. I still remember the silly things I said while going home.

Close yours eyes you might not want to read this. I had all four taken out in my late thirties. I found it very difficult. Got infected and my face and neck swelled up to the size of a small foot ball and began to block off my airway and spiked a high fever. Rushed to the hospital to get on better antibiotics. It scared the crap out of me and my wife.
Woulda killed an ordinary grower LOL.

All four at once. I received a steroid shot, swelled up like balloon when it ran it's course. Fell in love with a brief script of high powered pain meds.....wow...that week is still a little fuzzy....lol.

One at a time, over the course of 5 or 6 years.
The only complication was one of the top ones - it opened a pinhole to my sinuses. That's a really weird feeling, trying to sip some water but not getting any suction because the air is going into your nose, and out through your tooth hole. It healed up on its own after a couple days so they didn't have to patch the flap.

15yrs ago, all 4 and didn't miss a beat. I woke up and asked the dentist how long it took and it took like 10min. Now my wife's, that was a different story, she was very swollen and sore for over a week.

My wisdom teeth never came in. Maybe that is why I am lacking in wisdom on many things. Have had several others pulled though. I have enough gold crowns in my mouth that I do not dare smile in the wrong part of town......lol

I had 2 on top pulled by an otherwise great dentist, and ended up with a dry socket, lost 40 lbs in a week, and hospitalized for 1 week.Had infected jaws and throat, could eat nothing,as my jaws were froze shut. Now my wife says she cant shut me up.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth come through with no problems but my husband had a lot of pain with his. He wouldnt get them out until I said I would get mine out first. No problem. Got mine taken out while asleep. Looked like a chipmonk for a week but hubby got his done next. I would recommend not having any public appointments for a few days after.

I had mine pulled in college .I was put under. Not really pain after-but face felt like somebody beat me up bad, Oh by the way,I'm a dentist and have pulled hundreds of them. Some come out easy and some have to be broken into pieces and bone removed to complete the job. Get them out when youre young-we all get hard headed after age 24

Pain meds, Ora Jel and whiskey, that tooth was terribly painful, eventually it came out in chunks. I'm sure one day I will need an oral surgeon, but until then, it's an extra 800$ in my pocket for growing season.

Taken out when I was 18 here. Make sure someone stays near you afterward... someone else in the house. I nearly bled to death when, after being taken home, the bleeding would not stop. Eventually I was able to reach a friend who would take me back in. (This was before cellphones, text, etc.)
Usually it's not that bad, lol.

Im with hertz. Same here but it was wiskey or salt water.salt water dries up the fluid which takes pressure off plus help kill infection.
