Fall soil test, winter rye cover? is that it. Does'nt hurt to ask. Apply needed amendments as dictated by soil test? Build small green house for seedling in spring? Anything else?

...spade up patiently OM very deep in several layers from October to December! ...cover patches with 1/4" of sand and 2" of city compost then: humic acids from compost mobilize silicium out of sand. ...seed oat in March with a little urea as the only fertilizer. ...build anti-hail-hoops with two opposite triangle frames, two laths for the square on the ground but only a bolt on the top. This year i had grilled pumpkin seedlings in the hoops with plastics, ´cause on the ground i had a layer of black slag to collect all light and even UV rays and transform it into heat. This heat goes very good into the soil and helps the plants to survive Frost saints. In 2014 I will use 8 plastic hoops again and 12 new anti-hail hoops and would publish the comparison of results with pictures here, if I got a diary.
