Hello Everyone,
My name is David Cross. I am a the content manager for Movoto Real Estate, a brokerage in San Francisco. My team writes playful real estate articles for the company's blog. With Halloween coming up, I was asked to write a post that talks about giant pumpkins, and whether it's possible to grow a pumpkin the size of a house. I know it sounds a bit strange, but people like these posts.
My questions for this very knowledge board, is whether there is an actually limit to how large a pumpkin can grow. I know the recent record is about a ton.
Any help in this post would be greatly appreciated.

Over the past few years the limit has risen at a good rate. WR in 2011 was 1818.5 then in 2012 it jumped to 2009 but there was a pumpkin that was larger in size that went light, now this year there was a pkn 2032 weighed but in early september there was one in switzerland that was 2328. knowing where the ceiling is on these pumpkins is really impossible. Years ago noone thought 1k was possible then they thought 1500 was the limit. but now we are pushing for 2500 lbs.
To say the size of a house is out of the question seems like a far fetched idea but we never thought we would be where we are today. I truly hope someone gets one big enough to be consider a small apartment. I think we would all be amazed.

That's amazing. I hadn't heard about the pumpkin from Switzerland. Thank you for your response.
I've spoke to a couple of people and the response is generally the same. No one knows the limit.

David, you should contact Tim Mathison from Napa, CA. He just set the world record at 2032 lbs.
