Fellow pumpkin growers, it is with sad hearts that we let you know of the passing of Mr. Pumpkinseed/Edmund Hemphill, today, September 18. He has had a valiant struggle with ill health this year, and will be missed by his fellow growers.

We are very sorry to hear of Edmond's passing. Edmond & I spent many hours on the phone talking pumpkins over the past 6 years. Jane & I had the pleasure of touring his patch a few years back when we took a trip out east. He was very passionate about the sport.

He will be sadly missed by many growers here on BP.com & within the GVGO family. Our condolences to Joan & the rest of his family.
