Early in the spring, I gave seeds to a friend without making note of what I gave her. (She can't remember.) They were hour-glass shaped fruit and a beautiful green, turning orange a couple weeks ago. Every one split, rotted. She does not water excessively. Her white baby-giant pumpkin is thriving with no sign of stress, splits, etc. Any idea what she planted and what could've caused the splits? They are all planted in the same soil, close together. Thanks.

Hour glass shaped sounds like maybe inconsistent watering,,,big ends possibly during growth spurts?

Thanks, PC. They started out like that from the beginning...all of them...consistent and absolutely gorgeous. And she lost every one of them. Maybe a squash of some kind. But thanks again. And stay dry...we are getting flooded here in Co.!!!!
