Should I be worried about this crack or is it just a minor scar from growing.

The pumpkin isn't growing terribly fast as our weather is cold and wet so it isn't going to get ripped open overnight. But over time?

I don't think so. I would keep an eye on it. Measure it for a baseline and keep measuring every few days or so to see how fast it is splitting. Also, keep it dry and clean. Possibly treat it with a fungicide of some sort.

Cheers Ken for the advice.

I dusted it with Sulfur and measured it two days ago (9 Sept dairy entry) and it has widened a bit. Just have to sit it out and hope its superficial

Cheers

Do you have it sheltered with a fan on it 24/7? Just a thought...

I don't beleiev you have any worry. I was going to say to add a little of a fungicide and saw you had in the sulfur. As it widens add a little more sulfur but not too much, just brush over a thin coat on that crack. Keep it dry and should be great.

Its sheltered but no fan I'm afraid as no electric there. The fan would be good though to battle the morning dew that hits it

Split grown some more following a ton of rain. Sleepless nights listening to the rain hit the house is torture ;)
