I think some of these guys measuring 2100lb pumpkins need to get rid of the dollar store glasses and maybe then..they will start going to chart rather than 20% light.

@ donkin : I know the grower (Beni) and the photographer ( Roger) very well , nobody says it has 2100lbs. But both are very honest and nice guys. If they say 1181 cm it has rather 5cm more than 1 cm less.

Donkin i dont Need a Glass , see very well (still)
and i know wat i seen in Benis Patch .
We measured very deffensive and i think in some days , after the Pumpkin stops growing Beni will have a accurat measurement on a pallet and bring this Pumpkin on a certified scale to see how much it goes light .

You or someone other is wellcome to visit Beni and measure the Pumpkin .

i know one grower whos getting another run at the 2009 next year. great job beni. very happy for ya. even tho it did not make it to the end? so what? you still grew it. just immagine if you choose to weigh it last week before a problem arose?

the only way we can get much bigger is to be on the edge each and every day.you need those daily gains to get where you want to be. unfortunately we just have to work on getting those imperfections corrected?
