Yes ,growth in most of july was pretty good, all of august so far has been terrible, most nights have been in the low 50s or less, last week woke up to 42 ,plants are healthy, has to be cold nights.....

Yep , up and down temps like a Yo Yo really not good for steady growth.

Yes, the cold will also give you more splits and other than putting blankets on the pumpkin there isn’t anything you can do about it.

There's no worse feeling than ending a streak of hot / humid weather with a cold front and a sub 50 degree night. It ended my season by splitting two super good pumpkins here last year.

I have charted growth daily since the last week in July ....was growing at textbook pace until the cold nights arrivedat the end of July ....went from 14-18 lb gains to 11-12.... Less than 7lbs on the five coldest nights....these last two or three warmer nights the growth is picking up again ....the weather is definitely the problem for me... Ps...I love excuses

Nights have been very cool here in Central Ontario. Lows drop down to 45 to 50 degrees on average the past 2 weeks. It has warmed up this week, so night temps have rose to 60 degrees. A cold front is suppose to go through today, so I expect temps to drop down to 50 again. Lets hope for a warm Sept.

We cooked up an idea for you cold growers here in our lab to keep those 'kin temps up at night. We are gonna get a prototype together and I'm gonna test it out on my 'kin through seasons end.
