Never used the 0-0-60 but I would recommend caution. Are you talking foliar application? Because I use the 0-0-25 from extreme pumpkin at 1 oz/ gallon. 4 gallons for 3000 sq feet does me well.

Just look at my last diary post, a double up on the 0-0-50 the week before :(

Listen to Orangeneck.

Muriate of potash,0-0-60 is an excellent way to BLOW YOUR PUMPKIN!!!

It's a salt, and no one recommends using it.

If you do use it, use it very sparingly, and not for long.

Trust me--put the bag on the doorstep of someone you hate before using this shit. Stick to potassium SULPHATE, 0-0-50, and keep your soil in balance via a soil test/tissue test.

OK?

Orangeneck, the 0-0-25 that you use as a foliar...how often?

I've been using it on rotation with Cal-Mag Max as a foliar...on a weekly rotation.

Yep weekly Glenn from here to the end. I mix it with cal mag as well as bifenthrin and a fungicide.

Orangeneck- is there a way to get the Cal Mag to mix with these items? I always seems to get a jelly mess :(

Thanks!

Same here Chris...that is why I've been rotating them weekly.

My other Cal Mag product (CALiMAGic by General Hydroponics) also does the same thing so I'm not mixing anything with it either.

The Growth Products literature on Cal-Mag-Max says, "Cal-Mag-Max is NOT compatible with phosphate fertilizers, and must be mixed and applied separately." and..."Do not mix with strong acid materials." and..."Must be diluted with water prior to mixing with other nutrients or pesticides."

Turns out I use Cal-Max not Cal-Mag much to Tom P's dismay lol. Not sure of the overall differences related to gelification issues but the solution does get very frothy. But no solid precipitae forms in the tank. Hope that helps. Jim
