Looking for information on growing garlic? Spacing? Types? and info on how to from someone that has done this and is familiar with growing garlic.

garlic? garlic? garlic? no, pumpkins ya. put the bulb in the ground and it will grow.

I use 8 inches for spacing..then down to my 2nd knuckle for depth..has worked well.

Yes I use 8" spacing, 2-3" down, raised beds, well drained soil, full sun. I plant 2 hardneck varieties, mostly porcelain, with some rocambole for a bit different flavor. Use locally grown garlic only for your seed, not from the China or Mexico. Plant the cloves separately, not the whole bulb, pointed end up. Plant in early October, harvest in July.

I've been growing garlic for the last ten years or so. Easiest thing you'll ever grow. The only trouble I've had is that during winter the rain and snow and frost heaves push the garlic bulbs to the surface, and so in the spring the "bulb" is sitting there above ground. Just get them down firmly and you'll be fine.
