Just got bird peck on kin...fairly deep...probably one I am culling anyway, but want to keep it viable for few more days. How is sulfur used, what kind to buy, & could it possibly prevent rotting because of injury? I found soil sulfur but it is granules...have to mix it or is there another type to buy? (Good info for future use as well!). Thanks so much.

Forthat, general small splits, suface cracks and vine cracks and splits your looking for Sulfer "Powder". Bonide Brand is what alot of people use. Just sprinkle it over the area to be treated, I even use an old pair of gloves and pack it in by lightly rubbing it on say stem splits and blossom splits with a small fan. Maybe you can take a hammer and pulverize a small amount of the granuals into a powder for now and yes it should prevent rotting from injury but it's always a possibilty that it could rot. Google Image Bonide Sulfer Powder..white 10" tall bottle with a purple lid. I got mine at a mom and pop farm store but I think wally World has it too or order it off of ebay. Always good to have it on hand for emergency. Good Luck nukid
