Was just wondering when you guys and girls prefer to remove the female flower after pollination?

if its hot and humid, I do it the next day or the button becomes mush, but definitely by 2nd DAP.

Peel off most of the flower the night of pollination.
This will help potential rot.a couple days later the rest will losen
up then you can pick it off.

I agree with Master P..humidity is too high in the south...nobody wants a mush button

I left one on too long, and mush only after 2 days....and I live in a non-humid climate!!!

The closed flower after pollination is the perfect environment for Mold growth (warm and moist) - so best to take at least some of the petals off after the chance for open pollination has passed ( not too soon or it may get pollinated by the bees\other insects rather than being the cross you wanted )
