Can any of you Expert Pumpkinticians tell me what to expect if this kin goes south to become a blossom rollover contestant? Anything you do prior to losing sight of the blossom or is that where devine..get it? de>vine intervention comes in and you have your fingers bound in the crossed position for 2 1/2 months, lol. Thanks

The scariest pumpkin I ever grew was also my largest and was a blossom end roll-over. Ironically, it was a 1207 Young.

I would defiantly get the pumpkin covered with a tarp structure to keep the rain off. I would put a fungicide on it right now either captan or daconil right out the bottle. keep it dry. When it finally rolls over on ya I would make sure you have the sand and dirt cleared out of the area beacuse, you might get mice nesting under under it and your gonna want to keep an eye on it. I would put about a dozen or so moth balls in the air pocket under the bloosem and keep an eye em to make sure the pumpkin does not grow over them.

Got the Tarp cover over it and am working on a better surface for it to grow on. Thanks for the Input TruckTech and Pumpkin Picker. Its now very obvious its going to go over on the blossom end.
