In a letter written to Abigail Adams July 2, 1776 by John Adams following the Signing of the Declaration Of Independance: "It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more." Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were thee only two signers of the Declaration Of Independance to be Elected President Of The United States.............They both died on the same day..........JULY 4th, 1826.
