Here's the hard truth: Attach whatever intangibles you want to Tebow, he's still a guy with a slow release who completed 46.5 percent of his passes during his one year as a starter. Not a single team in the NFL, as of now, believes in him enough to give him any type of job – not even as a backup. Even the CFL team that squatted on his rights isn't willing to give him a look as a starter.
So what use would the Patriots have for him? Letting Tebow run trick plays makes little sense since having Brady on the field will always be a better option, no matter the situation.
So for the sake of argument, let's say Tebow is willing to play another position. Where does he fit then?
Tight end? Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Jake Ballard and Michael Hoomanawanui are all better options.
Running back? Do you really think Tebow is a better option than Stevan Ridley or Shane Vereen? Besides, do we even know if Tebow is an effective runner when the threat of him throwing the ball doesn't exist?
So where? Is it worth the media crush to have him as the third quarterback behind Ryan Mallett? That also means sacrificing another player at another position on the 53-man roster. However you cut it, bringing Tebow here doesn't make much sense.

If he's an ineffective passer as the stats would agree, then he's got no advantage as the threat of him passing is non-existent.
I think he could be a fullback. He's proven to be good in short yardage situations and he's got a better arm than most fullbacks should they decide to let him throw.
Players with versatility are good to have on a roster. No question about that. He's tough, and he has a knack for winning. All good things.

Full back is about the only realistic shot he has at sticking in the NFL. He is not fast enough to be a running back, And he is not quite tall enough to be an effective pass catching tight end. He has the body profile for Linebacker but that is not really a position that you just pick up at age 25 and start playing at the NFL level. Full back is a pretty straight forward position to play. He has the bulk for the position and he would stillhave the opportunity to get his hands on the ball occasionally and use his feet. Michael Robinson was a QB at Penn State and he is now a quality Starting Fullback for Seattle so its been done before.

This is a good move for New England; We all know how delicate Brady is, and they have not gotten a good offensive line to protect him, and we all know what happens with him when he is rushed; especially during playoffs!! Tebow will get to play this year you will see.
Have a nice day OLD ROOKIE

@ old-rookie...maybe you could be a bit more specific as to how delicate Brady is ???
The only way Tebow plays is in a blow out, and Ryan Mallet gets hurt.

When he throws he favors his leg that he got hurt on a couple years ago; when theres pressure he makes sure he does not get it reinjured; as far as tebow; Belecheck is one of the top coaches out there he has somethin planned for Mr Tebow
