Maybe somebody can help me out with this one. Last fall I put down a ton of sand to the patch and added amendments and gave it a deep till. Spring soil tests indicated that I needed a bit more calcium and more phosp. I added 90 lbs of gypsum to the patch and another 30 lbs of bone meal and another 40 lbs of lime and gave it another till to set the soil followed by a drenching of a gallon of kelp and some tripple 10. Followed by another till. My patch tends to hold a lot of water due to the property and the water table. My my plants are starting to vine out and look good. My issue is with the pooling of water that I got from the rain. my question is will gypsum leach out of the soil and will the bone meal leach. I understand the nitrogen will. Any advice would be appreciated. The plants aren't flooded at all as I built the soil around them for this reason.
