I'm no expert but looks like sun damage to me.

The rest of the plant looks good.I wouldn't worry about the first leaves, damage can be caused by sun and remember,it is trying to set up in it's new environment. PSure it will settle in just fine.

I am no expert, but I would say too much fertilizer in too high concentration. I have similar problem, and went cold turkey off of the juice and haven't seen it since.

Thanks everyone. I'm going with the "sun-thing" as have not really fertilized excessively. But we will see. An odd year for me so far, as one out of 3 plants is just very, very small!!!!! Resembles a house plant!!! And a friend is growing from the same seed, and his is growing beautifully!!! I got spoiled last year (2nd year) because all my 3 plants were nice, healthy, and quite large for a beginner....this smaller guy is a real question mark for me.

OK...a thought. My trees have grown up a bit and this plant does not get the earlier intense light it has in the past 2 years...it still gets plenty, however. Any thoughts?

Hey, Eric, I just realized that the damage is on my friend's kin and I don't know what kind of fertilizing he is doing. I'll pass on the advice. Thanks.
