Have there been any big pumpkins grown off a double vine?, by big, I mean, anything over 1300lbs. Thanks Terry

My PB 1225 was grown on a secondary of a classic flat vining plant.Using that as logic I should throw out all the normal plants and just grow flat viners

Thanks , another question, would you or did you use your double vine and flat vine as a pollinator? if so how did it work out for you ? or is that maybe a bad idea, as it may carry that trait forward in the off spring? Terry

1417 for me last year on a flat vine plant.
No, I didn't use it as a pollinator because of those plant issues at the time, but in hindsight I wish I would have. It was the only good one that made it to scale for me.
