Yes, im going to leave one of mine in a 4' peat pot and grow it in the back window of my car. Ill be the first one ever to try this . Only thing that worries me is driving my car around mid August with the vines/leaves obstructing a safe line of view. As far a a safe sight of view while backing up in reverse I already know will be a huge obstacle to over come with the pumpkin growing in the back, My entire goal for doing this is to save loading time for my pumpkin for the weigh off.

Brooks the key is that you need to remove the 6x9 inch speakers from the rear deck and then train the vines to grow into the trunk. That way your pumpkin will be in the trunk right where you want it. I've seen some people set the pumpkin in the back seat and once it starts getting big that can get to be a real safety hazard if it rolls around back there.

Don't forget to set gophers traps in the exhaust pipe where they tend to burrow. That exhuast system makes a great place for them to burrow right underneath that root system!

I tried twice to grow AGs with 5 gallon pots and could not get a fruit set. If you are looking for seeds youre going to need a bigger pot. Uhh, Brooks, that pumpkin will never fit out the door, better use a pickup truck.

It was still growing when I killed it. It got some PM and I got scared it would spread to the other plants. To bad I didn't know about infuse yet. O well live and grow:)

Brooks B: Thank you for the need to do extra laundry this morning as I have now wet myself laughing. thank god I found this site, I no longer feel all alone and crazy about pumpkins. *Giggle* Okay, now that I have composed myself, being new to giant pumpkin growing what is Infuse? I have been using Chlorasel for PM and it works great, but it isn't systemic.
