Hi all. I'm looking for recommendations on systemic pest and disease control. I'm planning on growing a couple of prizewinners at an area nursery and I'll only be able to tend the plants when they're open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., so foliar sprays are not an option. I've used Bayer Tree & Shrub on my A.G.'s in the past with success, but I've not used any systemics for disease. Any recommendations? Preferably on the cheap and can be found at your average garden store.

I would try Root Sheild. I love it, and all you do is mix it in with the soil at the planting site and at each root node. Its not systemic though. Its not too expensive compared to other fungicides

I have the opposite problem. I need to find pest control that isnt systemic. Per the rule from the lady of the house, since my pumpkin is going to be eating up her cover crop of spinach and red leaf lettuce. Any suggestions other than marigold.
