Hey guys!
I need a little help please. i started my seeds in a 50 50 mix of seed starter and MG potting soil. i have them a few inches under some t5 grow lights. im running them 24 hours a day. is that what im doing wrong? the true leaves are not growing full at all and the next sets i can see growing in look crappy also. i cant tell if it to much fert from the MG potting soil,or to much light . i hate to see my seedlings not gaining size. please help me save my year! this has happened to me before

24 hours of light is not necessary, cut it back to 12 hours. Some pictures of the leaves would be helpful.

Light too close and too hot. Had some do that. Possibly too intense at close distance if not hot. I used a 400MH though.

Just use 100% of Pro mix, never had a problem for germing. Plus another thing that helps I think is that once the plants have pushed up, drop the temp down to 75, seems in the past when leaving the temps up in the mid to high 80's, the first leaves did not like the heat. Have a good one.

I have had my first true leaves look like before and 1 or 2 do this year as well. Nothing to worry about as far as I am concerned. The second leaf usually comes out fine. The first couple of leaves sometimes can look a bit droopy or have some yellow colored speckles. I would keep the plants growing and just keep watching. I bet they will be fine.

Every year 90% of all my 1st true leaves have always looked funky or smaller compared to my second leaf that always grows normal, I never could figure this out why, Im with Steve on this , its never been a problem.
