New grower and won a 1610 Leiber from WWGG. I am concentrating on big oranges this year and from searchs see it was a really nice orange color. Has it's seed produced any nice oranges. The one offspring picture I saw on diaries from this seed was a ghost white. I have two really good 810 Westcotts and 2 568 Kaczenshi's (thanks Scott West ) in 5 gallon buckets right now so have the basis for some good oranges but wondered if the 1610 will give me an orange. It is a really vigorous seedling right now.

I thought the 1213 was 1610 x self. 1244 was the 1161 x 1610 I think. Either way both were very orange.

Thanks guys. Looked up the 1304 Sperry and 1213 Rhea. Would love to end up with something similar to either. Genetics sure are a strange thing. Bright orange from one seed and white from another. Taught biology for a few years during my ag career and know how strange genetics can be. real hard to explain to a kid with an A type blood and B type blood parent how thiers is type O. Probably why I quite teaching biology. I don't think they do blood typing anymore in high schools. can get pretty tricky. lol

I grew a real pretty orange one off the 1610 in 2011. Check out my grower diary from 2011 for pic. It was a real easy plant to grow. Good luck and best wishes in 2013! PB

Grew a 1610 last fall and crossed with our 834* both ways very aggressive in the hoops so far. 1610 was BLAZE orange with classic high barrel shape (thick too!)...
