I remember last year after I transplanted my kins out side they grew upward and then layed over creating a pinch point in the main root and growing upward they were also susceptible to wind so this year I'm going to plant them on an angle..........Anyone else ever try this ? Can you think of any thing bad that could happen ?

I like to plant them on a slight angle so the main is close to the ground. It helps it lay down as it grows with out breaking the main.

Well I planted mine at a 45 degree angle and within 2 days they straitened themselves back up. I had them leaning to the north and the leaves moved toward the sun and straightened it back up.

In addition to planting on an angle, I also mound up soil in front of the seedling where it will lay down. this keeps it from falling over a far distance.
