Heat the plant only with a smaller hoop. A hot water bottle and a foam cooler work for us for years

Linus is right, We like to put a smaller metal hooperZ over the young one...and cover with a heavy blanket... we can put a 60 watt light inside... and it stays nice and toasty.... Make sure that is a GF breaker you plug into so one doesn't accidentally electrocuteZ oneZ self...That would be terrible... BiZ haZ never been the same since....lol and boy did it stink.....lol
Online or at SEARS you can buy a Lacrosse remote battery operated temp sensor for 15$ that will tell you inside and outside hoop temps with an audible alarm as well..... I can monitor tempZ in the WiZardnator from my eaZy chair in the front room. Good Luck

I use a 6x8 hoop house in my 14x16, heating cables in the ground. I think the soil temp is more important than ambient temps. My 6x8's stay around 60 degrees on cool nights with only cables.

My hoop is 12x20, Sounds like I need to build a smaller one within! I like Darren and the Wiz's idea... Linus do you have a link or an email to tell me more about your method? And I do have heating cables too...
