Any tips on what might increase my success rate for germinating 10 yr. old A.G. seeds? Things I'd like to know:
Should I soak the seeds longer? What is the optimal germination temp. for a 10 yr. old seed? Does freezing the seeds first, then thawing, before germination help at all? I recall a seed starting method where the outer shell of the A.G. seed was carefully removed before germination. Is this something that might help? I'm most comfortable using the paper towel in a plastic baggie method, by the way. Although this isn't set in stone for me. Any other tips?

I've never done anything special to germinate old seed. The seeds I've always done have been frozen, so I don't know if freezing then thawing helps, but I think that if the seed is still viable, then nothing special has to be done.
Does anyone else have more experience?
Thanks

Some say freezing them first has given them better results.Just remember freezing seeds must be in sealed air tight packaging.I double wrap great seeds.
