Hi, just wondering what other growers are using, the granule or the wettable powder. Is one more affective then the other?

WP is intended to be tank mixed and applied as foliar/drench whereas granules are intended to be broadcast or mixed with soil.

The spore count in the WP is likely higher in concentration, which is reflected in the price of the product (owie).

I will personally be using the Rootshield Plus in granular form, mixing granules in my starter mix, planting hole, and a small pinch in the trench at each root/leaf node. Hoping 5lbs of granules will be sufficient for my 3000sq ft patch with 6 plants.

Joze,
I usually do a soil drench in the hoop, in the planting area (soil is nice and warm in there) as a preventive.

The big news is the granular RootShield Plus is now available in a 1 lb. and a 5 lb. in addition to the standard 10 lb. The difference between the standard RootShield & the RootShield Plus is the addition in the Plus of Trichoderma Virens, which gives improved resistance to hot weather Pythium and other diseases. All the new info on the new sizes is available on the "Growing Supplies" page at www.hollandsgiants.com

Trichoderma is what is in rootsheld, Kelp4less has it for a few bucks cheaper. I haven't tried it. But I got a bunch of my other amendments for a great price. fast shipping too.

...so...is WP any better than granular? I'm with Joze on pricing, but you get what you pay for I guess?
