Dear all, Currently AGGC and Pumpkinlink are not up to date or unavailable, respectively. Some of you may have noticed that I started analyzing correlations between patch size and pumpkin weight of some frequently planted seeds:
http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryView.asp?season=2013&grower=58180&action=L
Now I would be happy to extend this study to some of the more recent seeds, e.g. the 1634 Werner. What I need to know now is: The pumpkin you grew off that seed (e.g., 1324 PumpkingrowernameXYZ 2011) and the approximate size of that plant (e.g., 650 sqft). In addition to pumpkins from the official GPC list I also appreciate contributions with official weights from non-GPC weigh-offs, contributions of DMG and/or UOW pumpkins (whereas “EST only pumpkins” aren´t helpful). Also, if you grew an in your opinion too small pumpkin (despite the great potential of the seed and the great potential observed with your plant), and you can trace the poor growth back to particular circumstances such as for example “800 lbs on day 45, then blossom end split” or “950 lbs on day 55, then loss of 70% of the plant due to foaming stump”, I would appreciate that kind of additional info as well. You can either post your results right here or send me an email with the data (email addy can be found in my diary…the orange envelope on top of every diary entry). Thanks heaps in advance, Jörg

1811 Graham 12(1634Werner x 1314Sperry) approx 800sqft of plant poll june27(4lobe) In my opinion the pumpkin was too small as a matter of fact i know the 1634 didn't even come close to it's full potential.Very little growth in the month of sept due to lack of sun..rcord rainfall.Hope this helps Jorg

Dear Carl, thank you for your reply, hopefully many many more will add some of their pumpkin data, and hopefully your 2013 season will be much sunnier in september. Cheers, Jörg
