Congrats to Larry and Gerry upon their induction into the Pumpkin Hall of Fame. This is well deserved as they are outstanding growers having both broken world records for weight. In addition they have both performed graciously in the pumpkin world having generously given considerable time and effort to the Pennsylvania Giant Pumpkin Growers Association and, not to forget, having sent out hundreds and maybe thousands of seeds over the years to established as well as new pumpkin growers. They have never hesitated to help their fellow growers in any way they could whether it be one-on-one advice, seminars or garden tours. CONGRATULATIONS.....you both are well deserving of this recognition.

Thanks for the kind words. Our congratulations to fellow inductee's, Phil and Jane Hunt. They have been our friends for many years and there just are no finer people that we could have been inducted with than them. The best thing that has happened over the years is getting to know all of the great people out there who share our hobby. Growing a huge pumpkin is great but forging friendships and sharing ideas, information and experiences is what it's really about. Our sincere thanks to Dave Stelts and everyone on the GPC Executive committee, and to our good friends Jim Kuhn for nominating us and to Andy Wolf for the gracious introduction. We've known the Checkons for many years. We 1st met & heard them speak in Guelph (that was before Niagara). They have been very kind to us in the past & we would like to thank them for friendship over the years. It sure was a great honor to be inducted with these two legends of our sport.
