i've been looking at recent posts on both of these fruits. i have found that the majority of growers like the shape of the 1775. but, i havent seen any posts about the shape of the 2009. as far as i understand from looking at pictures of the fruits , the 2009 was a very tall fruit, but the 1775 was more of a stout fruit. please correct me if i'm wrong. i would like to grow both of these seeds, but i would like to know the preferences

I didn't think the 2009 was that tall for being 2000 pounds... it was just all around massive. Not to mention it had a hump like a Tatonka which really made it look mean. Either of what you have is a win\win.

Below is a tall pumpkin for 800 pounds

Pictures of the 1775 don't very well show its size or shape. Neither I nor Thad could get a picture that properly captured the pumpkin. It was very symmetrical and almost exactly shaped like Christy's world record. Crossing the 2009 and the 1775 would be interesting. One tall and one wide. Genetically speaking both have the potential to be an excellent seed because of the crosses.

Yeah this years going to be cool to see what the 2009 looks like since it was crossed with the 1409 and a lota growers are growing it.,I like the tall ones my 1238 was cool being taller then the 800 low and long .
