I got one also, can't wait to use it. It's a beast. I was outside the day after Christmas trying it out. Doesn't work so well in frozen soil.

Ted, it's a big pitchfork lookin thing but much sturdier. It is used to break up the hard pan I believe. I've seen people on here make them.

build your own.
form pins a 4x4 pressure trated beam some 5/8 - 16 4" long bolts with nuts and washers acouple drill bits drill handles of your choosing, ash handles, steel pipe, or wheel barrow handles.
Total cost under 100$
Mine cost me about 100$ now since i have changed handles a few times

Meadowcreature is the best (16" is best), I use them commercially, and can do about an acre a day all other broadforks are just cheap toys that will break Johnny's will break very quickly

Wiz , don't know how long the tines are but it's a 520 from Johnny's ! Can't wait to go out and use it !
