This thread is directed to those of you in club and/or weighoff administrative roles, as well as those of you who own/operate organizations that provide products and services that benefit the hobby-
I am taking the lead to create an entity titled the "Pumpkin Club Network". The initial purpose of this endeavor is to establish a centralized, cloud-based storage location that virtually houses electronic files that are of value to club and weighoff administrators.
I have chosen to use "Dropbox" vs creating or using a website where files are stored. Those of you who choose to participate will understand why when you begin to use the resources.
The "PCN" Dropbox will contain categories of various filetypes that will enable clubs to quickly access and use for their benefit. For example, it will contain a "newsletter" folder where articles, who's authors have given permission, will be freely accessible for use in your club's periodical.
It will contain a "logos" folder, where various graphics will be stored for your downloading ease and utility. This will include sponsor logos, club logos, and other graphics that are routinely used in our correspondence with membership.
It will contain a "forms" folder, where clubs can share, upload and download the forms you have created to efficiently manage your weighoffs.
If you are a club administrator who would enjoy participating in this network, simply shoot me an email. You'll need to download the "Dropbox" platform from the internet. No worries, its a 2 minute process to set up an account and DL the software. All you need is a valid email address. and its FREE. After you've installed the Dropbox software, I will send you an "invite" to the virtual folder and voila, you are in.
No charge for clubs to participate in the Pumpkin Club Network. My purpose is to enable clubs with the ability to share resources more effici

To entice participation in the PCN, I have uploaded a two-page document titled: "Pumpkin Growing Basics".
This document is a succinctly-written, month-by-month overview of the most important considerations for growing giant pumpkins.
This document is distributed to prospective growers at weighoffs, accompanied by the seed packs that are given/sold, to get them familiar with the hobby. It is also included in seed packs sold through the club's website.

Send your requests for participation to [email protected]
I would ask than when you send your request, please include your title/role so that I can maintain a working list of which clubs/organizations are represented.
Thanks!

Joze what a great idea. Would you have a list of all the pumpkin growers? We are starting a new weigh off here in No. Cal and would like to send notification so people know and can plan when their planting. If you have such a list or know where I can get one please email me [email protected] Thank you!
