I was wondering if any one else is experiencing problems with not having seeds delivered through the mail from Canada. I have sent seeds out twice to a grower in the U.S and they have not received them. Very frustrating when you make a deal with another grower and you run into problems like this, makes you feel like sh.t Anyone have advice on how we can fix this problem.

I have had issues in the past. Technically shipping seeds into the US without a Phyto Certicicate is illegal. When you send seeds to the US, don't delare they are seeds, say nothing or as PAP Wallace does, Say Guitar picks. I make frequent trips into the US and mail the bubbles there. Always declare seeds and as long as you don't have too many, they let you across with no issues. Also if you take them across physically, don't seal the bubble until after you cross or you will be buying new bubbles at the post office

I've received 3 different packages from GVGO this year with no problems. They all had dried seeds declared on package.

The reason some make it & some dont is they cant possibly see every package. That would cost a lot of man hrs.Its a gamble any way you do it.

Ben. Do not lie on a declaration.
Put seeds in a letter sized bubble. Put 3 x $1.05 stamps on it and drop in mailbox. No declaration. If you ever have a valuable seed you are worried about, send it to me and I will mail from NY.

I sent out about 300 GVGO seed packs to destinations all over the world last year, only one was lost in the mail that I am aware of. It was a sent to a GVGO member right here in Ontario (sorry Bryan). All other seed packs including those sent to Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, The Netherlands, USA, UK, Slovenia, Switzerland and New Zealand all made it (hope I didn't miss anyone). I did not use the declaration form on any of the envelopes. Apparently it is not required on envelopes that fit through the 1" slot at the Post Office according to the Postmaster here in Komoka. In my opinion, it is better to say nothing than lie on a declaration form.

Just say "Growing supplies" on the BP. It works for us.

I have acution seed from Canada show up and the grower even wrote "Pumpkin Seeds" right on the package. We sure were lucky. I could not believe when I seen that it made it. Organic guitar picks
