Looking to put in a 50' row of hot peppers next year and so far I have: 1.Carolina Reapers 2.Butch and Moruga Scorpions 3.Giant Ghost 4.Jalapenos But I'm looking for 1 more kind that has close to the same heat as a jalapeño +\- some heat but just as good if not better flavor.
Any one have some thoughts ?

No sure in which direction the better flavor should point, but I would think of something like the "Aji Pineapple" variety.

Tom P. gave me some fish peppers that had really good flavor and were at least as hot as Jalapenos. I bit half a raw one at the RI weigh-off and the tears were rolling.

Poblano has a little less heat than a Jalapeno but great flavor and serrano's have a bit more heat but also have a nice taste.

My favorite that I grew this year was a hot cherry, I got from hippie seed co. Close to habanero in heat, with amazing flavor.

Hi, I grow a jalapenos I get from Johnnyseeds.com. They are by far the best one I have grown. They are large ,smooth skin , that don't crack as they get older, but best of all, they have great flavor. They are called EL JEFE contact Johnnys for a free catalog. Terry

I grew the ghost peppers They were so screaming hot they had no flavor & my wife's Mexican she eats hot '''way hot''' she says they don't have flavor !! we also grow jalapenos they are good,, but perhaps not as flavorful as others ,, she recommends chile-piquin !!! But the piquins are very small !!!!
