We all know half the battle is compost&breaking down is were it all comes into waiting.why wait when you can break it down.i wana build a big build a big blender.a 50 gl drum& push mower motor, mounted into a steel plate.mount spindle in the drum& belt connected ti motor pulley, with an idler pulley on lever to shut on & off.using tension.& have a few blade on a shaft to chop& have slits at bottom of drum to fall out at when broke down so it doesnt get clogged up.& big chunks not fall into blades.lil technical but would be great.

Ahhh Do you have a weed trimmer....They work awesome...Use a steel drum or garbage can...put your leaves in there...and it will pulverize the leaves.
what you are thinking of sounds dangerous

I like the way you think pap either have the prop going into side of drum at bottom or if you cud have it mounted to a frame so u cud move motor around& up& down.unless your just really stout & cud just man handle.lol.hold on hold u gave a great idear.i got an old trolling motor :)

I usually just run the roadkill I pick up through my tree chipper. Works great, but the neighbors do complain about the odor of my compost pile once in a while

doesn't an outboard motor use the liquid it is immersed in as coolant? running without coolant or in chunky coolant will damage the motor. Wasn't the wood chipper thing in the movie "Fargo"? Winter is the time of "the Good Idea Fairy".

Put in the time like everyone else does. Compost can only be made as fast as the organisms that make it do their work, regardless of how fine you chop your material or turn your pile. Gardening is not a fast food world.
