We have 90+ weather most of the summer I am going to use home made misters, A screen canopy&thinking bout building a box of durok board to let the pumpkin grow inside or stack blocks up around&use insulation were the vine needs to grow at,not sure if pumpkins need little sun all the other regular pumpkins grew biggest in the tall grass, not sure if complete darkness will affect them?

tennesssee needs to cool the plant, not just the fruit. think shade cloth + misters. 30-40% shade late May to late August should be sufficient. Ideal temps are 70-85 degrees. a few days above are not a big deal. weeks to months above are a big deal. find growers in your area and ask them for advice
