took my 608 previously weighed fruit on certified scale to the utah weigh-off in utah.......for the biggest loser contest put on by lee perry (no-see-lee).....drove 600 miles of which 400 was in a blizzard........road not snow covered but for 100 miles......had 2 blankets on fruit....the blankets were soaking wet and frozen on the outside as well as the 3" thick ice on the sides of my truck......weighed fruit......614 pounds.....guess i ain't a loser after all.......kyle fox is the biggest loser.........he he

So Matt...faulty scale or are you thinking that the pumpkin skin absorbed water on the way to the next weighoff??
I've heard of growers putting soaking wet towels on their pumpkins after being cut from the vine but figured it to be one of those wives-tales.
Can you enlighten us on what you think caused it to go heavier the 2nd time? I think bad scale...

it soaked in water......makes one think.....maybe i'll grow a fruit in water tank...........LMAO
