Can the same pumpkin be weighed at more than one site??? If they can I guess I don't agree with that rule. It is not fair to local growers in the area that don't have time or funds to do so!!!!

At a GPC event, they can be weighed and entered as Exhibition, but take no part in that GPC's site competition.

Even some non gpc events do not allow reweighs. Erin Fair for example is not gpc but does not allow reweighs. Some local fairs like Norfolk couldn't care less about reweighs. They offer cash prizes in exchange for having your pumpkin on display for the duration of the fair. They know the big fruit draw crowds and that's all they care about.
So your question is not dumb, It's just complicated. :-)

That is a great question and I absolutely agree with you regarding fairness.

Hey Pete, not a dumb question and not complicated either. At Erin Weigh off we are open to anyone that wants to bring any of their giant veggies.Re-weighs are welcome as exhibition. Our prize money is as good as or better than many other sanctioned events and we use the rules and regulations of the European Giant Vegetable Growers to ensure worldwide recognition.
