I want this message to come across as heartfelt and sincere as it is being written, it's from my heart. First, congratulations to Ron Wallace for his determination, his dedication, all his hard work and commitment to the growing of these giant pumpkins.You deserve all you reap from your accomplishment.Ron has taken us to a place we never dreamed we would see in our lifetime. Imagine, a ONE TON PUMPKIN. I thank you and the world thanks you. To his mom Cathy and to his dad Dick, you have been through a lot. Your sense of humor Dick, your inner strength Cathy is amazing, what with putting up with those two! We were honored to have history made at our weigh off. Ron Wallace is back baby, Ron as far as we are concerned you never left.
Again speaking on behalf of the NEGPGA directors,I would like to thank all the volunteers and judges for the tremendous effort they put forth to make this weigh so successful. Representatives from all six New England states pull together and contribute to run this weigh off as efficiently as it can be. To the "girls" at the table, You Rock! Everyone at the weigh off can feel the bond we here in New England share.

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO ADD SOMETHING HERE , MANY GROWERS DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO ORGANIZE THIS EVENT AT TOPSFIELD AND WITHOUT THE AMOUNT OF EFFORT AND TIME & SUPPORT THAT MARY ANN & GEORGE HOOMIS AND YES , WOODY LANCASTER TOO ! PUT INTO MAKING THINGS HAPPEN EVERY YEAR THE N.E. CLUB AND TOPSFIELD FAIR WOULD NOT BE ANYTHING NEAR WHAT IT IS RIGHT NOW .
