for those of you that attended the new england summer picnic this year i just wanted to tell you that "freak 2" is loaded ,tucked in and ready for the ride to topsfield later today.

we never feel quite comfortable with any pumpkin in the patch until its safely inspected,lifted and sitting ready for transport. now we can relax.
from here on out its the scales that will tell the story.

im very proud of what ron has accomplished this season.
please forgive me if it sounds like im sounding off however as a father only i know how hard he labored around a hectic work schedule to keep his kins productive and healthy.

i truely believe that today and next saturday (at frerichs farm in warren ri )he will be rewarded the benefits of his labor.
either way? its been a hell of a ride.something i wish everyone could enjoy at least once in their lifetime.

to all my friends out there in pumpkin land.my best to you as well.this is the greatest hobby in the world.
where else could you be in the penthouse one day and the out house the next?

I think this will someday happen. The biggest obstacle that we have is that we do our thing on a Saturday in the fall, up against college football. But I do think they could tape it and air it at another time.
