In the garden a pumpkin grows in the night.
"What are YOU looking at?" he says to the moon.
"A big orange blob if I might.
Tell Peter PumpkinEater to get a backhoe not a spoon!"

"What's it to you, you tiny orb!
What's it to you , you silver speck1
"Speck! I'm bigger than mountains, canyons, oceans and a Swedish fjord!
And I really bend space/time with my gravity - you mere fleck!"

"Well you could have fooled me--Sorr-ee!
Hey roll by the fair in Topsfield town.
If you're talking GINORMOUS then we'll see
Who tips the scales at a ton--vines down!"

The moon and the plant tossed barbs that hit home.
"I'm the most HUMUNGOUS of them all!"
It's relative -you can go with real or poem
Come to Topsfield Fair and make your own call.
