Does this always produce orange for those who have grown it? Or has anyone grown it in a high heat, high humidity environment? I'm considering it next year, and any info about this seed would be appreciated.

Thanks

Always orange as far as I know. Jim Gerhardt will let you know!

Thanks, I aquired one this week when a local grower came by to see my garden. He doesn't grow pumpkins anymore, and gave me some really nice older seeds.

I saw it grew the 921 Rosa which might be one of the most red looking pumpkins I have seen.

The 923 never produced anything other than red orange pumpkins. Oddly enough it produced a 921.5 for me as well as Tim rosa and they were weighed at the same weighoff. Twins. Also notable was the 689 rauch and the 811 Gerhardt. My 2010-2012 diaries have pics. I was just thinking, so far I have sold $3500 worth of pumpkins from the 923 and offspring. They are lookers :)

Thanks for the reply. I also received both the 921 Rosa and your 921, but I think I will grow the original 923 since it is so proven. Already anticipating next year!

Yep, can't go wrong with the 923 stick with the original.

I grew the 921.5 and it is a nice orange that looks pretty much like the picture on aggc.
