I see many posts with pictures of plants with great leaves still going strong here in mid-Sept...How do you do it?

Heat / humidity smokes them!
My plants were green in October 2009 due to cool weather. Last year I hardly had a plant mid September.

How about this year Chris ? I know the heat has been on but no leaf pics since August. Just wondering from the cheap seats. LOL

Control your diseases, control your insects, don't overfertilize, don't overwater, control your diseases, and control your diseases.

This year I had 4 plants on my patch, two on each end of the patch. Two on the one side were looking fine, whereas the other two started to develop signs of excessive nitrogen in July (when the soil warmed up and nitrogen became much better available). The latter two plants are now showing the worst leaves, whereas the others look much better, many many green leaves.
