With weigh-offs approaching fast and furious this is just a reminder that the Orange Jacket will be presented in Niagara Falls, Ontario during the second weekend of March 2013. The venue is once again the Americana Resort and Conference Centre. More details will be available after the weigh-off season is done.

The orange jacket is not a GPC specific award, but that being said, we will rely heavily on the GPC info pages to determine the winner of the orange jacket unless a non-GPC pumpkin is brought to our attention. If you grow the heaviest pumpkin of the 2012 season and you have photos and witnesses to prove it and it was not weighed at a GPC venue please be sure to contact us at [email protected] to let us know of your accomplishment.

Good luck to all the site coordinators, judges, representatives and, most importantly, the growers at your respective weigh-offs and we hope to see you in March 2013 (if not sooner at Port Elgin, Ontario September 29th and 30th!) Prize structure can be found at www.pumpkinfest.org
