Awesome job Kevin I just got off the phone with the New York Botanical Garden NYBG & we have a film crew coming over to document your massive pumpkins. It will make a great teaser for the media event at Grand Central Station it is going to be incredible thank you!!!!!
We are also lining up the media to cover the site where Kevins 1900# pumpkin might only be third that is going to be one H#$$ of a show. I was told by the NYBG that it is a very good chance Al Roker will be there to cover the action how cool is that!!!!
It has also helped the GPC committee with the logistics of figuring out who would be the top 3 will be to go to the NYBG event. We have made plans to have a semi at the site ready to pack the pumpkins up to deliver to NYC all we need to have is the growers names for their flight tickets to NYC.
Lastly we have taken the liberty to make the GOTY jacket for Kevin all that we will need now are the exact weights to be sewn on to complete it. Thank you Kevin & Chris for making this fall so much easier for the committee!!!!!

I was trying to explain this to a couple of folks in chat yesterday morning. When a pic shows the front of the pumpkin just count how many leaf nodes on the vine in front of the pumpkin. I didn't say they were not that big but if they were they would have to be 7' long because they were narrow :)
