You will see that Wiz and Eddy have put on the European notice board that 5 sites have prize packs waiting to be collected and they have been ready for between 7 and 10 days.

First of all I would like to thank the few sites that always mail me back and have let me know that their prize packs arrived safe and sound; I really appreciate your feedback.

I have to say I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of response I get when I send out mails. When I followed the tracking of prize packs only to find they are not even picked up just confirms that some sites just don’t care. I am quite frankly embarrassed when Dinn Brothers mail me asking why the packs are not being picked up, esp. as we nagged them so much to make sure that this year everyone got their deliveries on time.

It was a struggle to get all the registration forms filled in correctly and on time which held our deliveries back by two weeks and now this.

I’m sure that most of the people on this site that know me will say that I always do my best to help out growers and enjoy putting something back into this hobby. Well I feel badly let down and I don’t think I deserve it.

I’m not looking forward to my next challenge of getting all the sites to fill in weigh off results. But I will say this; if sites continue to take me and the GPC for granted they will not be GPC weigh offs in the future. I will be expecting to see weigh off results done within a couple of days.

Good luck with getting the weigh-off results, Ian. I have had to fight for those for years for the EGVGA.

Germany

Bashing on people is always the easiest way to go. The persons mentioned in the post of Eddy are all German fellow growers, most of them I know personally as very dedicated and honorable fellow growers. The fact that only German sites are mentioned indicates that there could be a fault in the delivery process. Its absolutly unusual that somebody has to pick up a parcel at the post office, all parcel services here try to deliver to my home adress. If thats not possible I get a letter/postcard that the driver will try again, after that I get a adress where I can pick it up, and thats not necessarily near by. So in that case a delay of some days is expectable.
As I heard last year the delay of prize packages was not caused by the waiting site representatives and registrating of weigh off results online was very difficult ( software ?)
